Development Status

Legacy Village at Maplewood is one of the most significant residential and commercial mixed-use developments in the northeast metropolitan area.

It uses the new urbanist concept of blending together diverse housing options, various commercial uses, public amenities and open green spaces into a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood.

Legacy Village will be comprised of for-sale townhomes, a senior housing community, multi-family rental apartments, offices, retail shops/services and restaurants,

Hartford Group, Inc., the Master Developer of Legacy Village at Maplewood, began working with the City of Maplewood in February of 2002. Municipal approvals were received in September of 2003.

Initial site improvement work started in the spring of 2004. Construction of the development will be phased according to the following approximate time periods:

• For-Sale Townhomes - under construction

• Ashley Furniture - now open

• Retail/Restaurants - 2007

• Office Buildings - 2007

• Wyngate Workforce Family Housing - 100% Leased

• Senior Housing - TBD
